I was contacted by Liz on MySpace with a couple videos by a Radio/TV/Film major Kelsey who is interested in making a “Twilight” documentary about the fans. You can see the first two videos below. If you think you’d be what she is looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with her at her YouTube Channel or by e-mail at twilightdocumentary@gmail.com. Rob is the reason I am now a “Twilight” fan so I thought it would be a great reason to share this with all of you!

IndyWeek.com discusses what Rob as Edward Cullen means to pop culture in comparison to heavy hitters such as the late Heath Ledger and Christian Bale in The Dark Knight. They said,

Male critics swoon over The Dark Knight and lobby for an Oscar Best Picture nomination. I’m OK with that. And, granted, Heath Ledger’s creepy-crawly anarchist, The Joker, is original and memorable (and sadly, tragic). But the anti-heroes of The Dark Knight and Twilight—the crime-fighting Bruce Wayne and the vampire Edward Cullen, respectively—have equal gravitas in this precise pop cultural moment. Christian Bale with his silly pointy-eared bat get-up and throaty Lauren Bacall growl has the same importance—to his fans—as swoony Robert Pattinson, America’s No. 1 VILF, with his silent movie make-up and method actor angst, has to his.

EW.com’s Mandi Bierly has been on vacation.  Apparently, she was somewhere far, far, away because  she somehow missed the news about Rob’s new haircut.  Never fear, now she wants to know what we all think:

This will teach me to take a vacation. Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson cut his hair before the holidays, and I totally missed it. I only found out about it now because I saw this headline on People‘s website: PEOPLE Readers Sound Off on Pattinson’s New Cut. I cannot believe that people actually spent time debating whether he looked hotter before or after…when clearly, the answer is after. Only 56 percent of People readers agree with me. I know that means my side technically won, but it’s just too small a margin of victory for me to be happy on a slow news day. I am confident that PopWatch readers will right this wrong in our poll below — and come in somewhere around 75 percent in favor of the new look (which, I imagine, has also severely trimmed the number of fans recognizing and attacking him in public — well done, you).

Also, I have a theory that women over the age of 30, like myself, will largely prefer the shorter cut, which makes the 22-year-old Pattinson look older. Am I right?

As always, this is for archival purposes only. Take the article with a grain of salt as Life and Style is a tabloid magazine.

Teen Ink magazine gives a thumbs up to the Twilight soundtrack, and especially enjoyed Rob’s track:

I’ll admit that the first time I listened to the album, I immediately skipped to track 10. My incentive for buying this CD was to hear Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen in the movie) sing “Never Think.” Since his catapult to stardom, some of his music has appeared on the Internet. So it was no surprise that he would lend his vocals to the soundtrack.

Pattinson’s music has been compared to Jeff Buckley: bluesy with lots of groaning. But there is also a soft, subtle quality to his voice – completely swoon-worthy. Yes, I have a crush … leave me be!

Earlier today, the LA Times: The Envelope asked its readers how they felt about Rob’s new haircut. You have spoken! Here are four of their top comments they selected to review on their original article.

1. “I like the change. I prefer hm with slightly longer hair but give it a few weeks and it will be back to what it was. Its amazing how famous he is now. He was searched on more than Obama’s holiday shots. Thats some amazing publicity. Now his management need to get him one new franchise thats his and his alone.” Posted by: Lorna

2. “He’s an actor who has to style his hair in many different ways for roles. He’s playing an ordinary guy in Parts Per Billion which starts filming in early February. He has a short dark hair cut as Salvador Dali in Little Ashes which is released at the end of March. Fans are going to have to get used to him looking different in each role. His a versatile guy and wont want to look exactly the same for every part. In the Haunted Airman he has a short back and sides and looks incredible. But I also love his geeky hair cut in Bad Mothers handbook and another film called How To Be. He’s not a male model with a trade mark look. If he plays a tougher role he’ll need a harsher cut. So peopel need to get used to it.” Posted by: Helen

3.”i absolutely hate the haircut. i mean its not HORRIBLE but it just washed away all the SEXINESS. his hair was pretty amazing. but that doesnt mean i dont love him anymore!
rob pattinson is still amazing<3 hahah… :]]” Posted by: Tiffany

4. “He’s still a cutie. But with the short hair, he looks like Haley Joel Osment’s older hotter brother. With the long hair? He looks like Edward effin’ Cullen. You do the hair math!” Posted by: Malia
