The Remember Me trailer was released in November last year and went on to rack up a huge amount of viewings all over the Internet during the past few months.
Take that, big budget films!
From occasional stops on the front page of IMDB to the front of Apple’s ITunes trailer site, for a small film, Remember Me’s trailer seems to have made a big impression. In fact, people are still talking about it all over the web — from regular movie fans that were happy to see Chris Cooper in a film hitting theaters soon, to fans of Emile de Ravin from Lost, to Robert Pattinson fans that can’t wait to see him in something where sparkling is not a requirement.
On Trailer Park and the official Remember Me YouTube accounts alone, the trailer has been watched over 2.4 million times! That doesn’t even include every other YouTube version or any other version out there. Let’s just say the Remember Me trailer has been quite popular.
Movie trailers on the whole, of course, are big business. Of some 10-billion videos watched online annually, they rank #3 only after news and user-created videos. Many movie buffs and even Hollywood executives think trailers are just as important as the actual movie itself. Trailers (good ones anyway) lure an audience in. With slick editing and just enough star power and storyline, each trailer is an expensive mini-film made to get you into the theater with popcorn and coke in hand when the film opens.
But how can a trailer find and grab an audience by the collar in 2:30? How is a trailer supposed to make you feel? What is the music in a trailer intended to invoke? And how many times have we seen trailers that give the entire plot of a film away without even looking back?

Hmmm. Bluewater Productions, the folks who brought you comic biographies of Al Gore, Sarah Palin, Michelle Obama, and Stephenie Meyer, are set to ship FAME: Robert Pattinson in May. It’s a 32-page comic that will trace the Twilight star’s career and, as the press release says, “introduce fans to the many sides of Pattinson.” Maybe this is just the 34-year-old me talking, but I don’t think this is necessary. For starters, I seriously doubt that diehard fans who scour the Internet 100 times a day will learn anything new in this comic, and who wants to look at a cartoon Pattinson (even if he is kinda hot) when you’re one mouse click away from the real thing?Am I wrong? In Bluewater’s defense, their Stephenie Meyer comic, published in November 2009, has sold out of several printings. But isn’t she more of a mystery at this point than Pattinson? I suppose there will be fanatics who must have everything Rob, and $3.99 isn’t going to break the bank to complete the collection. It could, conceivably, be fun to flip through it and see how accurately they capture his wardrobe and mannerisms. I know it sounds like I’m caving, but I’m not so no one get this for me as a gift, unless you really want to, in which case I’ll accept it, and read it in my office with as much shame as I do the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
What do you think? Unnecessary, but sure to sell out? At least it might introduce new people to the medium, and that’s not a bad thing…

There has been a lot of Internet speculation about the premiere of “Remember Me,” starring Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, and Pierce Brosnan.
The film, which revolves around two people who fall in love as they cope with tragedy, was shot last summer in New York.
And that’s precisely where the premiere will be, says a source.
Gossip Cop is told that, as of now, the stars will walk the red carpet in New York on March 1.
“Remember Me” opens nationwide on March 12.
Generally, premieres are closer to the film’s release date, but because Pattinson is working on “Bel Ami” in Europe and can’t go back and forth, “Remember Me” will have it’s big red carpet at the same time he’s doing its press junket in the Big Apple.
If anything changes, we will update you.

OK, we know you’re joking AnnaLynne – but we do think it’s funny that you mentioned your on-again/off-again boyfriend Kellan Lutz’s Twilight co-star and not Kellan himself!
AnnaLynne McCord and her sometime-honey Kellan Lutz, 24, may be off-again for the moment after their hot hookup in Miami over New Years. The 90210 starlet jokingly told us that she has a different Twilight co-star on the brain where Valentine’s Day is concerned.
“Oh yes [I have a Twilight date],” the 22-year-old laughed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Artists for Peace and Justice fundraiser in Santa Monica, Calif. Jan. 28. “Rob Pattinson and I are going out.”
GASP! But AnnaLynne proceeded to deflate our excitement by giggling, “And I’m also pregnant – actually eight months pregnant – but you can’t even tell. Pilates is a genius!”
She sighed, “No, unfortunately [we’re not going out] but if I see him I would definitely give him a big Valentine’s kiss…right on the CHEEK!”
Well played, my friend. You wouldn’t want Kellan to get jealous and beat up his on-screen brother, would you?

There’s a whole lot of Robert Pattinson coming our way in 2010, between Remember Me, which hits theaters in March, and Eclipse. The third Twilight movie won’t be out until June, but lucky for us, there will be some more Rob to savor in May with the release of Fame, a new comic book about his life.
The comic is the second in a series about celebrities, the first having been based on Lady Gaga. Fame will explore many aspects of Robert’s life, from his film to music interests. Of course, it will only feature drawings, not photos, of the star. Most things Rob-related garner all sorts of hype, so tell us what you think about this latest project — would you read a Robert Pattinson comic book?
Would You Read a Robert Pattinson Cartoon?
Yes — Count me in on anything Robert-related!
No — I prefer the real-life Robert.

From Bluewater productions:
Millions know English actor Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, the vampire
with a conscience in the films Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the
fantasy/romance movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s famous book series.
But there’s more to Pattinson than fake fangs, faraway looks and tousled
hair. Pattinson is an accomplished musician, a former model and an actor who’s
played both a wizard at Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School and the artist
Salvador Dali.
Bluewater Productions in May will ship FAME: Robert Pattinson to comic book
shops and retailers across the country. This 32-page comic will trace
Pattinson’s career from his first performance in Tess of the D’Urbervilles at
London’s Barnes Theatre to his star turn in the Twilight movies.
Writer Kim Sherman said that she is eager to introduce fans to the many
sides of Pattinson.
“I love having the ability to introduce high-profile people to readers
through an unexpected medium that is both written and visual,” Sherman said. “
These biography comics are designed to illustrate interesting tidbits to fans
about their favorite figureheads, and inspire them to learn more. I chose
to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective,
immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous
role.”
Count interior artist Nathaniel Ooten as one reader who’s gained a new
appreciation for Pattinson’s career since reading Sherman’s script.
“Working on this book has opened an entirely new level of Rob Pattinson for
me,” Ooten said. “Before starting, I was only aware of the ‘teenage
vampire’ Pattinson. After reading the script, studying the subject and listening
to his music, I not only became very interested in Pattinson’s future work,
but also discovered a new appreciation for this ‘teenage vampire.’”
Bluewater president Darren G. Davis said that he expects Pattinson’s
biography to be as popular among Twilight fans as was the comic biography of
writer Meyer, which Bluewater published in November of 2009. That particular
biography has sold out of several printings.
“Twilight fans want to know everything about the talented people who have
brought them the story of Edward and Bella,” Davis said. “I’m pleased to be
able to bring them Robert Pattinson’s story. It’s our hope that even the
most devoted fans will discover a fact or two that takes them completely by
surprise.”
FAME: Robert Pattinson is part of Bluewater’s much-publicized, and popular,
line of biographical comics. The FAME series will also include comic
biographies of Lady GaGa, 50 Cent, Tiger Woods and David Beckham. Bluewater
Productions also publishes biographies of influential political figures such as Al
Gore, Sarah Palin and Michelle Obama. Many of these comics, too, have sold
out several printings.
