In March, Robert Pattinson will be hitting the big screen in the romantic drama “Remember Me.” Pattinson steps out of the shadow of his brooding “Twilight” character Edward Cullen to play Tyler, a slightly misguided college student who’s dealing with a family tragedy when he falls in love with a young woman, Ally, played by Emilie de Ravin.

In a new video posted on the film’s Facebook page, Pattinson discusses his decision to tackle the role of the rebellious New York youth. “Initially, I remember reading the script and thinking … um … I like the flow of the dialogue and stuff,” he said. “It was just different.”

Pattinson, who will later this year reprise his role as Edward in “Eclipse,” added that Tyler had a certain “it” factor about him that he hadn’t seen in many other leading male roles in current films. “It seems like in a lot of ways main characters in other movies, when there is a young guy who is the lead he always seems like a vessel, [he] always [has] to be so naive and ridiculously innocent so the audience can feel that with [him] in the story,” he explained. “Tyler didn’t feel like that. He was a very specific character.”

In a recent chat with MTV News, de Ravin spoke about her instant connection with Pattinson. “I flew to New York to test with Rob and we immediately got along and had instant great chemistry, which is not an easy thing to come by,” she said. “Obviously you’re acting, but you want to have that connection with somebody. We had it.”

Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson have more in common than you think—they both like to sparkle, they both can sing and they both look fabulous in cartoon form.

The second installment of Bluewater Productions’ new comic book line, Fame, features none other than your favorite sparkle vamp. The 32-pager doesn’t hit comic book stores and Amazon.com until May, but E! News has the exclusive first look.

The issue, written by Kim Sherman and drawn by Nathaniel Ooten, with the cover created by Juan Mar Studios, delves into the star’s music, modeling and of course those dreamy roles he played in the Harry Potter and Twilight movies.

“I chose to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective, immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous role,” Sherman says.

“It’s our hope that even the most devoted fans will discover a fact or two that takes them completely by surprise,” Bluewater president Darren G. Davis says.

Author Stephenie Meyer has already been immortalized in comic but worry not K.Stew fans! She’ll get her time to shine soon enough.

Unfortunately for film fans disposed to the wintertime blahs, movie seasons tend to mimic the natural seasons of the year.

After the colorful glory and good cheer of the fall and holiday awards-worthy releases, Hollywood settles into its winter dormancy, with only the occasional great film popping up amid the dull castoffs and leftovers from more robust seasons. As spring nears, the movies steadily become brighter and more promising.

March 12th
In the romantic drama “Remember Me,” “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin of TV’s “Lost” play new lovers trying to cope with family tragedies in both their lives.

Now that Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson will soon be in the hearts of Twilight Saga fans on home video with the upcoming release of New Moon on Blu-ray and DVD, the Pattinson related buzz continues to sweep the web. Although Robert Pattinson has wrapped filming on The Twilight Saga Eclipse, Pattinson has been busy with a slew of non Twilight Saga projects, which include Remember Me, Bel Ami, the latest rumor of Pattinson in talks to star in Water for Elephants with Sean Penn. As well, Robert Pattinson headlines have also centered around the many stars of Bel Ami that Pattinson will get steamy with, including Christina Ricci, a possible record deal with Simon Cowell, plus more stories surrounding the personal life of Pattinson and how Robert Pattinson is now sporting a new bearded look. Not a day goes by that we don’t see some sort of Robert Pattinson headline, or Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart story, since Pattinson is being covered from all angles possible. To recap the past week of Robert Pattinson related headlines, here’s what made our Robert Pattinson Round-Up:

Pattinson Lends Celebrity to Hope for Haiti Telethon

As celebrities joined the George Clooney headed Hope for Haiti Telethon, Robert Pattinson ended speculation over his appearance by confirming he’d take part in the telethon. Although not in L.A. to participate in person like Twilight Saga co-star Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson did appear via satellite from London to lend his celebrity to the cause. Although some were left to guess whether Pattinson would take part in the Hope for Haiti telethon, hoping for a paired appearance by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, it’s hard to imagine Pattinson would have turned down an invitation from George Clooney, especially for such a good cause.

Robert Pattinson Eyeing Role in Water For Elephants

Although there hasn’t been official confirmation, word came down the Pattinson pike this week that Robert Pattinson and Sean Penn are circling the upcoming film Water for Elephants, which already has I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence and Reese Witherspoon attached. Neither Pattinson or Penn have confirmed their participation in the project but outlets have been speculating that Robert Pattinson will be filming on location at Cornell University. With no official word on the Pattinson participation in Water for Elephants, we’ll wait to see what happens. However, starring with Sean Penn would certainly be a huge gain for Robert Pattinson in non Twilight related credibility.

New Bearded Look for Robert Pattinson

During his appearance in the Hope for Haiti telethon, fans got to see the new look of Robert Pattinson in full beard. Whether you like Robert Pattinson as the clean shaven vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga films or the new rugged Robert Pattinson, the new beard helped to endear Pattinson to an even wider fan base. The only thing missing this week from the new bearded Pattinson style was a matching hunting jacket and Mack truck hat.

Pattinson Sexier Than Jude Law

As the celebrity status of Robert Pattinson only gets bigger on a global scale, the adored Twilight Saga star has been surpassing a variety of leading men in Hollywood such as George Clooney and Hugh Grant. This week actor Jude Law was happy to step away from the sexy label to let Robert Pattinson take over the sexiest leading man in Hollywood spot. In fact, Jude Law was relieved that Pattinson stepped in to take the spotlight since Law never wanted the title in the first place.

Pattinson Attention on Remember Me

Although Twilight Saga fame has helped Robert Pattinson land several roles beyond New Moon, Twilight celebrity comes with professional disadvantages according to Remember Me co-star Chris Cooper. In an interview with MTV at the Sundance Film Festival, actor Chris Cooper mentioned that the Twilight frenzy surrounding Robert Pattinson became a challenge for director Allen Coulter on Remember Me due to the huge crowds of Twilight fans and paparazzi that Pattinson would attract to the set.

Robert Pattinson and a Record Deal with Simon Cowell?

Although Robert Pattinson has two songs featured on the Twilight soundtrack and has been busy with roles in Eclipse, Remember Me, and Bel Ami, plus more rumored projects, word came down this week that American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, had apparently offered Pattinson a record deal. Although reports now suggest that Pattinson has allegedly been hesitant over a record deal, we do know that if Pattinson won’t have a hard time locking down a record contract with Simon Cowell or anyone if he chooses a music career.

Robert Pattinson and Christina Ricci in Bel Ami

After starring with Kristen Stewart in the Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson will soon be stepping into an acting harem, as word broke this week that Pattinson will get steamy in Bel Ami with Christina Ricci. But Ricci isn’t the only one Robert Pattinson will be close to in Bel Ami since the New moon star will also be working with Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas. So expect the rumors of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to transition into Pattinson and Thurman, Ricci, and Scott Thomas. It’s a tough job being Robert Pattinson, we know.

If hearing Kristen Stewart’s take on Renesmee wasn’t enough for you, here’s some more “Twilight”-related news sure to boost your spirits: Today is the day pre-orders go live for the various DVD copies of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” But before you run off to find the cheapest copy available for pre-order, there are a couple elements that should be weighed ahead of time.

Both Target and Barnes & Noble are offering special edition versions of “New Moon.” Target’s is arguably the best, offering a second special edition disc (three discs in all) and a “collectible film cell.” The only details they had about the third disc is that it contains “never before seen content,” and also commented that quantities are limited for the film cell (so make sure you ask when you pick up your copy). The special edition runs at $36.99, but is $10 off for pre-order, making it $26.99. The Blu-Ray version is $29.99.

Barnes & Noble doesn’t offer an extra disc, but does offer much better doodads than a collectible film cell. According to the bookstore’s website, the special edition comes with “a ‘New Moon’ Dreamcatcher Bag Clip, a metal dangle finished in antique brass that combines a circular dreamcatcher, a sculptural Wolf Pack-tattoo charm [and] a Wolf Pack jewelry tag, feathers, and crystals.” The list price for this special edition is $33.99, but online B&N is offering it for $27.19. The Blu-Ray version is $31.99.

If you don’t feel like spending some extra money on the various special editions, we found Amazon.com to be offering the best prices, with $21.99 for the two-disc special edition DVD, and $24.99 for the Blu-Ray. Wal-mart was 33 cents more at $22.32/$25.32, and Target was $1 more at $22.99/$25.99, so it all depends on your preferences.

Borders is offering the DVD at $22.99, but the Blu-Ray at a competitive $24.99. Fortunately, they’re all well below the market prices.

As for what the DVDs contain for special features, UK website Play had a pretty specific rundown of what will be offered, but we can’t confirm that they are going to be the same in the US as they will in the UK. According to Play (who’s selling the DVD with a “New Moon” keychain), the documentary included is called “The Journey Continues,” and the six parts will be called “1. Life after Twilight, 2. Chris Weitz takes the helm, 3. The subtle details, 4. A look at production, 5. It’s not magic, 6. Ready for the World” (Target confirms this).

There will be four music videos: Death Cab’s “Meet Me On The Equinox,” Anya Marina’s “Satellite Heart,” Mutemath’s “Spotlight” and Muse’s “I Belong To You” with behind the scenes rehearsal footage. There will also be a piece called “The beat goes on: the music of ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’.”

There will also be a Fan Event Q&A with Rob, Kristen, Taylor and Chris — probably from Comic-Con or one of the Hot Topic tours, as well as a bit called “Fandimonium” with a look at the “Twilight” fan culture. There will be a “Team Jacob vs Team Edward” piece, some deleted scenes, introduction special features for the Volturi and Wolfpack, an Edward and Jacob “Fast Forward,” special videos on Edward going to Italy and Taylor Lautner becoming Jacob, and finally a feature called “Frame by Frame: Storyboards to Screen.”
