I just came back home from the press screening of Remember Me so I figured I would try to write down a review without adding any spoilers.
For you who still doesn’t know, This is Robert Pattinsons first major movie after Twilight/New Moon.
Here you have the Synopsis of the movie, From IMDb:
In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didnt think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. But soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart. Remember Me is an unforgettable story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of ones life.
I had read some reviews online prior to going to see this movie so I had it figured out that Rob was really good in it.
But WOW, Robert Pattinson really surprised me in Remember Me. He really did an amazing job, no where near the Twilight Edward he is known for. He plays the part of Tyler amazingly and you do see him as Tyler not Rob.
The movie opens with a strong intro and the the film staggers a bit in the start but after that you don’t notice anything weird (Except maybe a disappearing/re-appearing item).
You are drawn directly into the story and really feel it being played. It’s a lot of emotions, many broken hearts and a lot of agony. Both Rob and Emilie are awesome. Tate Ellington in the role of Aidan, Tylers best friend, is awesome! He is really funny.
Ruby Jerins is very sweet in the role of Tyler’s little sister Caroline. And the rest of the cast are old veterans and it shows.
Overall it’s a very cute movie filled with feelings, outbursts, arguments and fighting,
There is also a twist to the movie…I had some difficulties seeing how this twist really had anything to do with the rest of the movie cause it came from out of nowhere, but I guess it sort of completes the movie in a good way, sort of connects all the little red threads throughout. But I can’t tell you more without spoiling you.
Bring your tissues is all I can say, Rob did such an amazing acting I had tears in my eyes the entire movie…
Really a film I recommend you to see whether you like Twilight / Robert Pattinson or not!
