According to kezza_r1 from Rob’s IMDB message board,
I just watched The Movie Show (Australia) – the two hosts Margaret and David are very tough on movies – but to my surprise they both gave it 3 *** out of 5 – I was so shocked when Little Ashes appeared on the screen for a review that I hid behind a pillow because I thought of the cruel comment they would say.
They both liked all 3 actors – they had a few comments about how too foppish the first look at Robert was – too over the top and his moustache was laughable at first. But Margaret seemed to imply that Rob was pretty good.
Ah a sigh of relief – so Little Ashes is on in the theatres in limited release so I will have to find it as I haven’t seen it yet.
According to Calendos from Rob’s IMDB message board,
I almost had a heart attack yesterday evening – was watching Tomorrow Never Dies on tv with the bf, and this commercial starts… it was a montage of the most delicious pics of Rob, in B&W, at first I didn’t understand, I thought I had died and gone up to heaven
but then the voice-over lady goes:
The Perfect Robert Pattinson, on GMTV, Monday morning
I tell you, somebody is robsessed over at ITV, because that was a sweet ad
Robert Pattinson has revealed that he would love to star in a romantic comedy.
The Twilight star fancies hiding away his vampire fangs for something more light-hearted, but claimed he hasn’t found anything perfect.
“I’d love to, but they are always just so rubbish – I mean like, I’d absolutely love to do it, but I’ve literally never read a good rom-com script,” he told GMTV in an interview airing on March 29.
Robert, who stars in Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin, reckoned there’s too much competition to be a romantic comedy king like Hugh Grant.
“I think it’s such a typical career choice for me, as well, to be honest,” he continued.
“If you do a big franchise thing – especially for English guys – you try and do a Hugh Grant part or something. Which I don’t think would be the best idea for me… mainly because it’s quite difficult to be Hugh Grant!”
:: Remember Me is released in cinemas on April 2.

For a film that could’ve been awfully heavy, Remember Me is a bit of a lightweight, but then, it’s supposed to be. A tween target audience could be crushed under too much dramatic weight, y’know.
Here’s what I didn’t expect: the movie is quite good. No, not great. But it’s good. Good enough, in fact, that I’d like to suggest to the legion of Twilight fans, who reserve so much of their adoration for lovesick vampires and werewolves, to see a picture a little more grounded in reality that, while perhaps not worth your usual hefty investment of the heart, does the job without dabbling in all things goth ‘n’ silly.
Best of all, Twilight’s leading ball of brood-and-hair, Robert Pattinson, is the star of Remember Me. But y’all probably knew that, didn’t ya?
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Pattinson’s first big non-bloodsucker role. And while he could turn the James Dean thing down a bit and quit, if even for a few moments, running his hand through that gel-infested nest, he succeeds.
Pattinson plays New York University student Tyler Hawkins, a guy with serious daddy issues (Pierce Brosnan plays his father, a cookie-cutter corporate jerk.) Arrested by a cop (Chris Cooper) during a street brawl early on in the story, Tyler’s dangerously caustic roommate (Tate Ellington) suggests that he date the policeman’s daughter Ally (Emilie de Ravin) as retribution. But what starts as a joke turns all flirty and eventually develops into something much deeper.
Since just about every character in Remember Me is wrestling with shadows from the past –– Tyler’s family is split due to a tragedy that they don’t dare talk about, and Ally’s mom has been killed, causing Cooper to overly cling to her. Rather than dwell on cutesy, blossoming romance, director Allen Coulter is courageous enough to paint his film with gloomy colours.
These are not happy people. They’re trying to overcome pain and loss and the whopper of a twist on the home stretch doesn’t exactly flood the proceedings with sunshine. It’s a bold approach to this sort of film, and a welcome one.
Unfortunately, the blueprint –– save for that late swerve –– is an old one. Remember Me borrows moves previously seen in better, angst-ridden dramas. But at least they’re recycling material with an ounce of substance.

Twitter is abuzz today after reports surfaced that Robert Pattinson was spotted early Saturday in at Budapest’s Ferihegy Airport. Robert was photographed with fans wearing the same clothes that he was photographed wearing last night in London. Confusion followed, “how could Rob be in Budapest when he was just in London last night?” It should be known that Budapest is a short 2 hour and 20 minute flight from London.
According to Hungarian-based Robert Pattinson fan site http://www.robertpattinsondaily.hu/, the photo of Rob with two lucky fans at the airport lead to a conversation with Rob of tourist sites to be seen and Rob reportedly asked directions to the centre (downtown Budapest.) The fans also reported that Rob was carrying his guitar case. Perhaps the charming city of Budapest will inspire some new Robert Pattinson ditties?
In the hours to follow, it was reported that Rob was spotted a bar downtown. Other fans reported seeing props erected along a “busy street” and rumors have begun circulating that Bel Ami will be filming with the props and backgrounds tomorrow. It is rumored that shots will also include a church. Photos of the props and backgrounds:

The photos include a background of a window dressing decorated in elaborate corsets, much like you would expect to find in a 1890s-era La Perla store window.

Street will be covered in sand to reflect road conditions in the 1890s – here is a photo pre-transformation:

‘The Twilight Saga”s Robert Pattinson dished about his ideal job and love of music.

What the Kids Choice Awards lacked in Sandra Bullock, they more than made up for with Taylor Lautner‘s abs. And slime. Lots and lots of (often surprise) slime—bad luck, Katy Perry, Steve Carell and Tina Fey.
A galaxy of kid-friendly stars aligned in Los Angeles tonight, where Nickelodeon handed out 19 orange blimps in their 23rd annual slimefest, honoring the best in movies, sports, television and music.
As per usual, nominees‘ biggest liability was not being named Taylor, as both Lautner and Taylor Swift walked away the night’s biggest winners, with each teen dream scooping up two prizes.
And sorry, Robert Pattinson fans, but the kids chose loud and clear: Team Jacob, 2; Team Edward…
Big ol’ goose egg.
Lautner, with a fairly big assist from Kristen Stewart, took home the Cutest Couple Award, along with the prize for Favorite Movie Actor. And while Pattinson provided direct competition in the first category, he wasn’t even nominated in the second. But he shouldn’t feel too bad. Not even Barack and Michelle proved to be a match for the power couple that was Jacob and Bella.
Sadly, The Twilight Saga: New Moon failed to take home the big prize, losing out on the Favorite Movie award to surprise winner Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
Guess hot vampires are no match for cute vermin.
• Favorite Movie Actor: Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga: New Moon
• Cutest Couple: Jacob & Bella (Taylor Lautner & Kristen Stewart) from The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Complete list of winners for the 23rd annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is at the source.
I am personally convinced that Rob is currently in Budapest. Pictures and reports keep coming in and here’s the latest:
Lucky fan David O’Sullivan met Robert Pattinson Saturday morning at London’s Gatwick airport as Rob was about to board a flight that we would later learn to be Budapest-bound!
