The shooting of “Bel Ami” is about to start in Budapest. The movie, featuring Robert Pattinson, Christina Ricci, and Uma Thurman, is set in 19th century Paris. The film crew is transforming an entire block of Budapest’s main boulevard (Andrassy) into Paris!
We took another walk by the movie set a little while ago and there were about 100 teenage girls waiting for Robert Pattinson to show his face!
Thanks to Jerome Strauss for these beautiful pictures!

Many of these pictures are from slightly different angles than we remember seeing. It was fun looking at them!

Robert Pattinson’s movie is now at #7 with $17,001,000 total domestic gross while the 2010 Oscar Best Picture moved down to #8 with $16,400,000. Remember Me needs to rake in at least $2,550,068 in total US box office receipts in order to bump Astro Boy from the #6 spot.

Sorry for the vague title, I didn’t want to give away the winner incase anyone was going to watch the program. According to the live blog, the “Best Actor” title has been given to Christoph Waltz:

Best Actor
It’s Noel Clarke (“one of the hardest working actor/directors in Britain today”) and Shanika Warren-Markland to present this one.

And the winner is Christoph Waltz! Yes, he has an Oscar, but this is the one he’ll remember.

“Thanks very much. This is voted for by the readers, I hear. That’s a pretty democratic process for a magazine called Empire. I always wondered where the E came from in OBEs and MBEs, and clearly it’s Empire - but I digress. I can’t hold an award of any kind without thanking Quentin Tarantino, out of whose wonderful imagination this came. Thank you!”

So no Empire award for Rob this time, but don’t forget that Rob will soon be working with Christoph on “Water for Elephants”!
