Here’s an excerpt of an interview with Dee Marie, author of Sons of Avalon: Merlin’s Prophecy:

If this were to be made into a movie, who would you like to play the major roles?

I think every author ponders which Hollywood stars would best bring their characters to life. I did not have any specific actors in mind when I wrote the book. However, since its publication, I have been on a constant “talent search.” Now, when I watch a movie or television show, I scrutinize the cast for “possible” players in a movie version of Sons of Avalon: Merlin’s Prophecy.

This is my current casting call, which is always subject to change, due to the fluctuation of new talented streaming into Hollywood, or simply my fickle whims.

Lot: Robert Pattinson (Twilight) …I took a giant leap-of-faith with my imaginary casting of Robert Pattinson, as Sir Lot. I had only seen him briefly (playing a small part in two of the Harry Potter films). However, with the prospects of his staring role in the movie Twilight (based on the popular novel with the same name, and my current obsession with the vampire series), I have a gut feeling that no one but Robert could portray misunderstood anti-hero Lot.

Meleagant: Tom Sturridge (Vanity Fair) …At first I considered him for the role of Nentres. Yet, For purely selfish reasons (after all this is my fantasy casting call), I would be interested in watching him take on the challenging role of young man on a spiral decent into insanity.

^Hmm, I wonder if she knows that Rob & Tom are good friends? =P That would be quite the combination!

HollywoodNews.com: Reaction was mixed when fans saw the brand new ‘do belonging to Robert Pattinson’s “Water for Elephants” character, Jacob. Unofficial photos hit the web in the days preceding the start of production, but fans got a good look during Rob’s appearance last week on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

There is no clear verdict, but one thing is certain: fans are starting to warm to Rob’s new look. In addition to a flood of new fan art utilizing unofficial photos taken on the set of the film, many popular Rob blogs have begun trading Twilight-focused headers for flattering shots of Rob’s character in “Water for Elephants.”

Unlike the androgynous Edward Cullen, Jacob Jankowski is all man—complete with a burlier physique, ruddy cheeks, dirty hands, and a sheen of perspiration. Sure, his hair is shorter than Edward’s, but he makes up for it with a distinct brand of appeal. Many fans said the same of Rob’s “Bel Ami” character Georges Duroy, and are anxiously awaiting the look—and personality—of a grittier man.

Yet some fans who were “turned” into Rpattz fans by Twilight are still holding on Rob’s old coif. One of my Twitter followees, Robrator, tweeted it well this morning: “Dear Sex-Hair, Please come back to Rob soon. We miss you. XOXO.” At the end of the day, the preference is purely personal, though some purists would take Rob however he comes. Yet, for those of you who share Robrator’s sentiments on the matter, fear not. Said sex hair will return in “Breaking Dawn.”

Julia Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater in “Eclipse”, mentioned Rob during an interview:

Julia Jones, shown at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, says that when she arrived on the “Eclipse” set, she was immediately impressed by the professionalism of her younger co-stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. “My overall observation was that they just have it down. Kristen steps in and out of character. Rob – same thing. Taylor, too. It’s been incredible on a bunch of levels.” Of meeting heartthrob Pattinson, Jones said: “It did throw me a little bit when I was introduced to Rob and he had a British accent. I was like, oh right, he’s British.”

HollywoodNews.com: As the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” premiere approaches, key dates in the promotion schedule continue to be confirmed.

Supplemental to yesterday’s feature (which listed key June dates for Twilight fans and some U.S. appearances), here is some developing info on the promotional tour abroad:

May 31: Sydney, Australia. Kristen and Taylor will be present for a Q&A event in Luna Park. The event will be run by Richard Wilkins but will be broadcast live via satellite from Sydney’s Luna Park into selected Hoyts cinemas.

June 3: Seoul, Korea. Kristen and Taylor are slated to arrive on the 2nd; Pan Cinema has announced a press conference, a “red carpet appearance”, and a fan meet and greet at a special meeting on June 3rd.

June 17: Rome, Italy. Eagle Pictures confirmed, via its web site today, that Kristen and Taylor are now set for an appearance in Rome. Few additional details are available .

June 21: Stockholm, Sweden. The official twilight web site in Sweden announced that Taylor and Kristen would visit Stockholm on June 21st. Though a media press conference has been announced, details of any fan events have not been definitively confirmed.

June 28. Madrid, Spain. According to Aurum Producciones, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel are slated to appear in Madrid to promote “Eclipse”. Already scheduled are a press conference and a session for fans to meet the actors.

Berlin, Germany. The final city that has been mentioned as part of the European tour is Berlin Germany, though no date has been confirmed.

Due to Rob’s shooting schedule for “Water for Elephants”, he will be absent for most “Eclipse” promo engagements that take place far outside of LA. In contrast to the “New Moon” promotion, which featured the three principal stars heavily, for “Eclipse” Kristen and Taylor will mostly be on their own.

Well I’ll certainly miss seeing a lot of Rob this time around =(

Rob’s Twilight Saga co-star Booboo Stewart took a fan question of what it was like to work with Rob, Taylor, and Kristen during a Q&A session at his appearance at the MDA in Tucson today. It is the first question in the video. He, unfortunately, didn’t get to work directly with Rob.
