The running joke among the Lexicon staffers is that they are filming Breaking Dawn in the Stalag 17 set. If you have ever seen the movie you’ll understand why. The complex where they are shooting at the Celtic Media Center in Baton Rouge is surrounded by a big fence and has lots of cinder-block type buildings with no windows.  The grounds are patrolled by a top notch security team. Seriously, all they are missing is the roaming searchlights and a couple of snarling German shepherds. You need ID and authorized clearance just to get on the property.

So the long and short of it is, other than for one brief instance when they prepped the Volturi outside and another brief instance when they shot at a local public park(which only yielded photos of shrubs and a giant green screen), no one has been able to see anything in Louisiana, because nothing has been in public view. The only shots we’ve seen are those out of Brazil that were taken by the flotilla off shore in public waters or by those residents in Rio who observed filming from their apartments or on public land by the marina district.

The ladies over at Letters to Twilight even recently commented on it. “BREAKING NEWS: Still no new set pictures or actual evidence that they’re doing anything in Baton Rouge. SHOCKING”

Cast sightings are occasionally posted on Twitter, like Robert Pattinson seen jogging in the university area and other cast members out on the town dancing, but overall there doesn’t seem to be the wild frenzy in Baton Rogue that there was in Vancouver with a bevvy of photographers camped outside their lodgings and then chasing them all over town from Starbucks to dinner events. One of our other running jokes is, “Oh look, Kellan goes to Starbucks day 92.” We actually found the turn for the hotel where we were supposed to meet for our New Moon set visit because we had seen just that many photos of the distinctive Starbucks on the corner and knew we were close.

In fact Ted Casablanca’s team over at E! Seems to have been thwarted when they attempted to get some dirt on a cast members’ night out. “No, sorry but we have bigger things to worry about than them…like the economy.”—Spokesperson for Tsunami restaurant in Baton Rouge, La., when we called to see if Hollywood Life’s item about Robert Pattinson‘s “wild, boys’ night out” had any truth to it.”

It’s pretty different from the response in Vancouver where the restaurant dished on …well…frankly what the cast dished on.

On the other hand, Bill Condon seems to do better than David Slade in the communication and photo department. We’ve gotten 3 official stills instead of crew members throwing fish in lakes.

So how do you feel about the lack of coverage: Refreshing, Frustrating, or Infuriating?

Go leave your feedback!

Are you loving or hating this Breaking Dawn lockdown?

Must say, we’re über-impressed at how respectful everyone down south has been.

Although some restaurants tweet and delete Twilight sightings every now and then, we really don’t hear much of a peep about our favorite crew.

Or maybe that’s because Rob and Kristen Stewart‘s relationship is far from being the scandal of the set anymore (as if that were the biggest one, anyway).

We think it’s a little of both.

The tight confidentiality agreements from the crew in Baton Rouge are about ensuring Summit’s money makers feel protected and not giving too much away about how Bill Condon is splitting everything up.

Speaking of Bill, Elizabeth Reaser could not stop raving about him to E! News at Sundance.

“I think Bill Condon is the perfect director for this movie. I’m already, really, so blown away by working with him,” the Cullen mom said. “It’s been really special. I mean, every element of this movie is so top notch, and that’s all Bill Condon, so it’s great.”

Robert Pattinson talks new ‘Cosmopolis’ film. MTV recently caught up with “Twilight” superstar Robert Pattinson at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards which took place in Los Angeles, California a few nights ago. He discussed his latest film entitled “Cosmopolis” and what drew him to the project.

Robert Pattinson stated that he took the script because director David Cronenberg called him up out of the blue asking him if he would be interested. The actor said he didn’t know how to say ‘no’. He said ‘yes’ as soon as the director called him with the part.

He went on to say that the script for “Cosmopolis” is “scary.” He said, “It’s an interesting script.” We have absolutely no idea what the film is about, however, when I first saw the name, it sounded creepy. We’ll definitely keep you posted as soon as we learn more!

Exclusive from Baton Rouge: The couple that pedals together, stays together! 11Share  Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can’t bear to be away from one another … for even a minute! The Twilight twosome are in Baton Rouge, La., filming Breaking Dawn, but they are making sure to squeeze in some much needed QT. A very reliable source tells HollywoodLife.com that Rob and Kristen ride their bikes around Raleigh Studios’ empty parking lots in between takes!  “I see Rob and Kristen riding around the parking lot almost daily,” our source reveals. “Recently I spotted Rob riding out of the main studio gates on his bike and the next thing I knew, he was in front of my car at a stop sign, and Kristen was behind me. He was wearing a long black shirt unbuttoned with another shirt underneath, it was flapping in the wind as he was riding.”  We told you that Rob dropped $1,000 on a 2010 Felt Breed Cyclo-X bike in October, and he’s been spotted riding all over town!

Probably best known for his 1994 album “Grace,” singer-songwriter and guitarist Jeff Buckley tragically drowned in 1997 at age 30, yet his music, including an elegiac rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” which topped charts in 2008, continues to reach new audiences and acclaim every year.

Someone else who continues to live on (and on) despite being technically dead is “Twilight” vampire Edward Cullen, so it comes as no surprise that Robert Pattinson would want to capture immortality again by playing Buckley.

According to Empire, the actor has expressed a burning desire to embody the musician in a new movie from the producers of other biopics like “Finding Neverland” and “Control.” Having met with the filmmakers, Pattinson is still only one of several musically gifted performers who are vying for the part, which could spell O-S-C-A-R for him after he puts his fangs on the mantle post-”Breaking Dawn.”

Real-life mother Mary Guibert, who sired Jeff with equally tragic musician Tim Buckley, is also involved and says whoever plays her son “must be able to play music and sing, or at least make it believable he can do that, but until we start auditions there’s no way we know who’s best for the part.”

Although no director has been publicly mooted for the project, a few names quickly suggest themselves, particularly musicological freak Cameron Crowe. Long an admirer of Buckley’s, the filmmaker used his “Last Goodbye” in “Vanilla Sky” and made poignant reference to him in “Elizabethtown.”

Twilight‘s Elizabeth Reaser feels for Robert Pattinson. She really does.

The obsessive fandemonium surrounding R.Pattz can’t be easy.

However…

READ: Rob Pattinson vs. Dominic Cooper in Vampire Showdown?

“It’s a complicated situation,” Reaser, who plays Esme in the Twi-franchise, told me while at Sundance’s Bing Bar to promote indie flick Homework. “If you’re going to be an actor and you don’t want to do dinner theater and you want to do movies like this, it’s a crazy risk.”

She continued, “I know for me, you want people to watch you tell stories. There’s some part of you that is somewhat of an exhibitionist… I’m not saying you want people to chase you down the street screaming and attacking you, but it’s a price you have to pay, I think.”

Reaser had jetted into Utah from Baton Rouge where they’re shooting the last of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, with director Bill Condon. “I feel like there’s never going to be a time in my life [again] where I’m going to sit with Peter Facinelli or Nikki Reed at four in the morning with [colored contacts] in and pale makeup and laughing our butts off…giggling all day.”

But it’s way too soon to say goodbye. “We have so far to go that it doesn’t feel like we’re anywhere near the end,” she said. “Plus we’re going to promote these for a few more years, you know. So we’re nowhere near the end.”

As for that steamy BD photo of Rob and Kristen Stewart, Reaser laughed, “At least everyone knows: OK, people are naked. Just in case the frenzy was dying down, just in case no one cared, here’s a naked picture of Rob and Kristen.”
