Nowadays Steve Nickerson, Summit Entertainment’s president of home entertainment, isn’t surprised by how well anything “Twilight” does at retail.

So when the Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA, announced this month that the combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of Music Videos and Performances from The Twilight Saga Soundtracks Vol. 1 had reached RIAA-certified gold status Nickerson was more pleased than surprised.

“It’s a little bit of a unique project we developed with Atlantic [Records], and we’re happy with the consumer reaction to it,” he said. “Each of the three individual soundtracks did more than well, and while any of the videos may be available through the individual artists, to put them all together in a product was a unique opportunity,”

This “visual soundtrack” ($34.99 Blu-ray, $26.99 DVD) features music videos and live performances from bands featured on the soundtracks of The Twilight Saga: Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, including Muse, Paramore, Death Cab For Cutie and Cee Lo Green. More than 20 songs are included, and bonus features include two more performances: Debussy “Clair de Lune” and Verdi “La Traviata.” The collection also is available for download via iTunes.

Nickerson knows most “Twilight” fans are already hip to the collection, but he has a message for those who haven’t happened on it yet: “If you’re a fan of the movies and you’re a fan of the music, you should take a look at it.”

Guy of the Year

It was a tough battle between Team Potter and Team Twilight, but you should never underestimate the screaming power of the Twi-hards. Robert Pattinson – or ‘R-Patz’ to those of you down with the kidz – emerged victorious as your Guy Of The Year. Fellow teen idol Daniel Radcliffe scrapped his way to second place, with everyone’s favourite pirate, Johnny Depp, in third. Swoon or what?

Most Wanted – “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”

A hugely contested category, your Most Wanted movie for 2011 is officially the first part of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The votes flew in from both Harry Potter and Twilight fans, but ultimately Harry’s adventures have been usurped by the vamp-wolf-lady love triangle. Deathly Hallows: Part Two could only rank as your second Most Wanted, with Pirates 4 in third.

Most Overrated Movie – “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”

You’re a fickle lot, aren’t you? It seems for every one of you who can’t get enough Twilight action, there’s another movie fan who’s had it up to here with Bella and Edward’s antics. You voted The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as your Most Overrated Movie, with the double-Depp-dip of Alice In Wonderland and The Tourist finishing as your second and third biggest disappointments of the year.

Lamest Couple – Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

Could it be jealousy that caused Virgin Media readers to vote Twilight’s R-Patz and K-Stew as the year’s Lamest Couple? After all, the really, really ridiculously good-looking pair are an item in real life… Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were deemed a dud in second, and you agreed with Ricky Gervais – Johnny Depp and Angelina in The Tourist just didn’t work.

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was the top grossing independent film in 2010, according to the Independent Film & Television AllianceThe vampire romance with $562.8 million globally, according to IFTA.

A spokesperson for “Twilight” studio Summit, however, disputes that statistic and says that “Eclipse” grossed $698.3 million.

Leading the pack on the list of worldwide box office grosses for the top-50 Independent films of 2010 were movies that smacked more of the mainstream than the art house.

Video game adaptation “Resident Evil: Afterlife” and men on a mission action film “The Expendables” were second and third on the list, grossing $270.7 million  and $228.4 million worldwide.

Rounding out the top ten were popcorn flicks such as “RED” ($160.6 million), “The Book of Eli” ($158.4 million) and “Dear John” ($112 million).

Japanese language film “The Borrower Arrietty” was the only foreign title in the top ten. The anime movie banked $114 million worldwide.

Thirty-seven English-language titles made the list overall. Of this year’s current crop of Oscar contenders, only “The Fighter” cracked the top 50, coming in at number 30 with $51 million worldwide. Other awards leaders such as “The King’s Speech” and “Black Swan” were still in limited release or had only recently premiered when the year ended.

Non-English language films comprised more than one-third of the total globally, according to IFTA. Films from Japan led the non-English titles with nine out of 13.

Japan’s three top earners collectively grossed nearly $300 million and all of them were among the top-20. French films secured two places on the Top-50 list, followed by Italy and Brazil with one each.

Take with a grain of salt – this site is a tabloid.

TWILIGHT heartthrob Robert Pattinson has revealed he’s adopted a puppy to alleviate the crushing loneliness he feels living his life in hotels.

The London-born 24-year-old is rich, famous and is said to be dating sexy co-star Kristen Stewart, 20, which may seem like a perfect life to many – but with no firm base in America and a heavy, constant workload, he says he is feeling the strain.

Even his British pals don’t want to visit him Stateside because they don’t like feeling like his entourage when he is spot ted by often hysterical fans.

Speaking in Los Angeles, before heading to Vancouver in Canada to continue filming the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn, he said: “I know it’s sad. A lot of actors have a bunch of people who kind of just go up and stay with them for like two months, like an entourage.

“But my friends, their egos are too big. They’d be like, ‘I’m not part of your entourage. I’ll stay in a free hotel for a bit if it’s in New York or LA but I’m not going to come out to some random town in the sticks.’

“But that’s kind of why I adopted the puppy. It’s from a shelter and he was going to be put down. I only got him two or three days ago and they only keep them for 10 days.

“He’s been freaked out. It’s funny. I got a private plane here from Louisiana, where I was filming Twilight, so he came out of the shelter and the next day he’s on a private plane. A bit like Lady And The Tramp.”

The puppy doesn’t have a name yet, although he joked: “I’m going to call him Robert.”

Maybe it should be R Patz – showbiz nickname that seems to have stuck since he first made millions of young girls swoon as Cedric Diggory in 2005 film Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire.

Then, of course he landed the life changing role of vampire Edward Cullen in 2008′s Twilight and the sequels New Moon and Eclipse.

Breaking Dawn, the final movie in the series, will split into two parts, the first due for release in November.

It’s a reflection of his growing fame that Pattinson is rumoured to be presenting an award at the Oscars on Sunday. But he say s nothing has been confirmed and he doesn’t think he’s going to have to get dressed up.

He said: “No. I’m working Sunday night. I’ve been working for six months in Baton Rouge and we’re finishing off in Vancouver.”

As well as the new puppy, he will be travelling with his own TV set (“they always have rubbish TVs in hotels”) and some of t he 5000 DVDs he’s bought but never finds time to watch.

Robert, who wrote two songs for Twilight’s soundtrack, will also bring his collection of guitars which always now travel with him.

But he said: “It ‘s annoying when you can’t sit around and just get really drunk and stay up until five in the morning. It’s not much fun.” Keanu Reeves is known for living out of hotels and when he leaves, giving what he’s accumulated during the stay to the crew or hotel staff.

He said : “I’m a hoarder. I gave away all my furniture from Baton Rouge but with books and things, I have storage spaces all over the world.

“It’s ridiculous. Clothes – I cannot give away clothes. I don’t know why.

“I wear the same thing everyday and I just have piles and piles and piles of clothes and then every two years, I’ll go to the storage space and kind of see what I can give away.

“I give away like three things, search through everything and then pack it all back up and put it in the storage space.”

When the second part of Breaking Dawn is released next year, Pattinson will, like Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, be kissing goodbye to the role that made him a global superstar.

At first he found the fame suffocating and at odds with his real life, which he claimed was boring.

But over the past two years, he said he has learnt how to deal with all the craziness of fans chasing him and being catapulted to instant fame.

Four years ago Pattinson could walk around Soho in London, where he lived at the time, in peace.

As soon as Twilight was released, that all changed – he was screamed at and chased and had to hire bodyguards.

He said: “Now I don’t have time for the craziness anymore.

“Before, it was kind of fun when you go through a big crowd and ever yone is going crazy, it’s like an experience.

“But when you’re just literally being rushed everywhere, you just can’t deal with that.”

Airports, especially LAX, are hard to deal with, he said, but he has learned to make it easy on himself by getting his ticket just 20 minutes before the plane takes off and then hiding when he gets on board.

He explained: “I just put a blanket over my head and literally fall asleep as soon as I get on the plane.”

Planes and cars seem to be his daily routine and although award bashes may seem glamorous, for Pattinson they are just a brief part of his working life that he has to work around.

And has been working non-stop since the last Twilight film, building on his romantic lead credentials with roles in Water For Elephants, opposite Reese Witherspoon, which is due for release in May, and in Bel Ami with Uma Thurman.

So red carpet invents aren’t as glitzy to Robert as they seem to us.

He said: “I’ve worked half a day, I got ready in 10 minutes, falling asleep in the car and you get out and you go to an award show for 10 minutes, do your little piece and then leave and get on a plane and go back to work.”

May be it’s because he’s one of those awkward English actors, in the mould of Hugh Grant, but despite being incredibly famous, Pattinson doesn’t like to cash in on his high-profile.

He said: “I don’t expect anything from anyone. So it doesn’t make any difference to me, the power things.

“I don’t even know how to wield it at all, apart from getting free sunglasses. That’s the only thing I use it for.”

Critics have accused Pattinson of being rather wooden and it’s fair to he has hard ly pushed as an actor in the Twilight films so far – his performances seem to consist largely of a clenched jaw and looking moody.

The movies, too, have their detractors. Even vampire fans have branded it Fangs & Boon, a derogatory comparison to sickly sentimental Mills & Boon romance novels.

The moaners may be silenced by the final two movies, which see Kristen’s character Bella become pregnant by Edward.

He then faces the prospect of having to make her a vampire or she’ll be killed by their unborn baby. Pattinson said: “It’s kind of scary.”

As always, his relationship with Kristen is off-limits. They have never officially confirmed they are an item, although it is strongly rumoured that they are.

But when asked about for bidden love, he laughs: “There’s always some kind of problem when you’re in love with someone.

“Especially in movies”.

Clara included information about the magazines as well:

[Movie magazin"SCREEN" 2011-April Issue-Magazine of Japan.]
Introducing the movie magazine “SCREEN”, which goes on sale the 20th.

A) Robert Pattinson was chosen for the second year running as number 2 in the Best Actor ranking in the 65th Golden grand Prix 2011 (SCREEN).
#2 Robert Pattinson
Made one the world’s current hit idols by Twilight saga, Robert Pattinson retained his title of second from the previous year. During his third time playing Edward in Eclipse, Rob wowed fans with his romantic air. The final movie of the series, Breaking Dawn, is already filming. In addition, he promises to show his fans a new side of him with this year’s Water For Elephants and Bel Ami. Will he be the one to steal Johnny Depp’s throne?

B) 2011 movie world hit prediction: This gorgeous guy was born in England, and represents the lookers of his home country as one of “today’s hottest men.”
Robert Pattinson (Age 24)
-Did you know there was a hottie boom in England in the ’80s? Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, and Daniel Day Lewis were all in their twenties and were bursting into fame as handsome young actors from England at around the same time, creating a huge sensation as the so-called young nobles. It’s been 20 years since then. Twilight saga similar wave is occurring today. The English movie scene is crowded with the handsomest young men of the generation and showing all the signs of another hottie boom.

The one leading the rush is Twilight’s vampire, Edward, the Lord Rob who has taken the women of the world captive. With his perfect looks earning him titles such as “The world’s most beautiful man” and “Today’s hottest actor” from a variety of magazines, he has developed into such a big star that he’s drawing near to Johnny Depp in this magazine’s reader’s choice voting. This year, in addition to the scheduled release of the first part of series finale Breaking Dawn, he also looks to gain even more fans with his sweet charm as he stars opposite Reese Witherspoon in Water For Elephants (to be released this year).

It’s no secret we here at Hollywood Crush have a wee, well, crush on Robert Pattinson. Really, who could blame us? But if there’s one publication that could give us a run for our Robert-loving money it’s certainly Vanity Fair. The dreamy “Twilight” star has graced the pages of the magazine numerous times in the past three years—and he’s about to do it again.

Multiple sources are reporting that the 24-year-old will be featured on the cover of VF’s April issue, which hits newsstands March 3. The shoot was done by legendary photog Annie Leibovitz, and according to Gossip Cop, even features a FOUR-FOOT LONG ALLIGATOR. (There’s definitely a vampire-alligator-bite joke in here somewhere.) Though we’ll have to wait another week for the issue, Hollywood Life has some behind-the-scenes images to whet your appetite (as if that’s really necessary…)

All this splendid Robert/VF news got me thinking about the actor’s past shoots with the magazine and which one is my favorite. After much close study, research and scrutiny, I’ve decided this image from RPattz’s first foray in the magazine wins my vote. Sure, he’s graced the magazine’s cover solo, but this pic of him and Kristen Stewart from the December 2008 issue is just so…hot. From their sun-kissed locks to their smoldering stares, both actors have never looked better than in this sexy shot.

But that’s just my opinion! We want to hear from you, Crushers! Which photo from Rob’s past Vanity Fair shoots is your favorite? Leave a link in the comments section so we can all drool together.

twenty-eight, emerges from his penthouse triplex and settles into his lavishly customized white stretch limousine. Today he is a man with two
missions: to pursue a cataclysmic bet against the yen and to get a haircut across town. Stalled in traffic by a presidential motorcade, a music idol’s

Based on the novel by Don DeLillo. (Giamatti plays the dual role of Benno Levin/Richard Steers. / Production office opens Mid-March.)
