Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is busy in Vancouver right now as Breaking Dawn filming is underway through mid-April.Meyer says fans can expect a surprising performance when star Kristen Stewart transforms from human to vampire.

“She’s created a new character. I was really impressed,” says Meyer. “I’ve only really seen her as (the human) Bella so to have her step up and change it in the right way — she didn’t have to talk to me. She knew. She knows the character so well now. She has really good instincts and, she looks amazing.”

In an exclusive interview with USA TODAY’s Carol Memmott coming Thursday, Meyer also shares details on the wedding gown Kristen Stewart wears in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, dishes about Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and talks about the creatures — some watery, some dark — she hopes to write about next. Check back tonight for the whole story.

With the consistent uproar from the Robsessed and Krisbians about whether or not the couple are still going strong—in addition to our misguided worry that Sarah Gadon would be a threat to Kristen Stewart (yeah right)—we jumped at the mention of a Breaking Dawn cast dinner at Rockwell’s in Vancouver.

Robert Pattinson and his gal were in attendance, along with Peter Facinelli and Jackson Rathbone, but what really stole the show was the excessive pre- and post-dinner interaction between Edward and Bella.

Remember just weeks ago we filled you in on how costar Nikki Reed had slipped that they got a puppy. Well…

Robsten were spotted playing with the adopted pooch just before dinner!

Not only are we proud that the couple adopted a doggy friend, but the fact that they are showing off their own puppy love affectionately in public is just mind-blowing.

Of course, there is no photo documentation to seal the PDA deal, but we will settle for some juicy dish that fab Lainey uncovered recently about this dinner situation.

She reports that not only were Rob and Kristen playing house with the cute “indistinguishable breed” of a dog, but also with each other.

The costars were extremely flirty at dinner, sneaking in a few kisses, sans tongue, here and there and eyeing each other and smiling when they weren’t doing some “familiar touching.”

Finally, a much needed release of sexual tension!

The cast is on schedule to be filming the wedding reception scenes, and some additional goss on that front is that Rathbone was teasing Kristen at dinner about her wedding dance moves.

Looking anxious as usual about them, Kristen is taking the moves seriously, we’re so sure.

Either way, as long as she’s not waltzing out on Rob anytime soon, we are happy with the professionalism on the set and pleasantly shocked by the touchy happiness off set.

Could Robsten actually be turning a new, touch-feely, lovey-dovey leaf? We can dig it as long as they do!

Megan emailed us the following message,

We are deeply disappointed in the recent news that the Bulgarian release date of WFE is put off until July 1st. The Bulgarian distributor for WFE explains on their FB page that “it’s ’20th century FOX’s decision to postpone the release date due to the small market expectations here”.

There are a lot of people willing to see it in the theaters and not download it, which will happen if it’s put off for 3 months. The expectations were low for ‘Remember Me’ too, but it did well here, and that movie is not halfway near to the potential of this one. People want to watch good films. We’re European country, not a ‘third world’ one. We deserve to be treated like one.

We are asking for support with like/comment on this page here or/and a post to let the other fans know that we need their help. It will be much appreciated. Thank you!

xoxo, TwilightLadies

As we told you yesterday, newcomer Sarah Gadon has landed the golden opportunity of a lifetime: to be Robert Pattinson‘s next leading lady, playing R.Pattz’s wife in David Cronenberg‘s new film, Cosmopolis.

We wondered aloud if Sarah’s going to be another Nikki Reed or Emilie de Ravin and cause endless gossip about what exactly is going on in those trailers between takes. Well, guess what?

Sarah heard us:

TWITTER: Follow @theawfultruth

She wasn’t too happy, apparently. As a result, friends of Sarah’s gallantly came to her defense, explaining a few things:

First off, the young actress who’s about to be seen in such A-list flicks as The Moth Diaries, A Dangerous Method and Jim Sheridan‘s Dream House, is not in the least bit interested in taking Kristen Stewart‘s place as Rob’s real-life girlfriend. Sarah is, as one of her chums put it, “taken.”

Whew! Guess that calms a least some folks down. But others, to be sure, will be conjuring up all sorts of imaginary “looks” between Rob and Sarah once filming for the suspense thriller begins. Count on it.

Also, Sarah did not confirm her casting in Cosmopolis. One of her reps did, only because Sarah’s camp was being inundated with queries, and they felt it time to set the record straight. In other words, Sarah would have preferred to keep things private, which is her style.

Good to know. That’s so Rob’s speed, right? Will make for better movie making.

So, everybody, go easy on the babe: We’re assured Sarah’s “so not like that,” as far as the grasping, typical rising Hollywood starlet thing goes and that Gadon really is “a sweet girl.”

Let’s hope she can stay that way!

Because even playing Rob’s other half is no easy task. Far from it.

Robert Pattinson admits that Bel Ami is still in editing because studio honchos are worried about alienating audiences used to his goody-two-shoes persona in the Twilight franchise.

RPattz plays the titular Bel Ami in an adaptation of Maupassant’s classic novel about a 19th century womanising, social-climbing journalist who sleeps his way round Paris.

Filming in the UK and Budapest opposite leading ladies Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas wrapped in spring 2010 and was originally slated for a Christmas release. It currently has no confirmed opening date.

“We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically a shit who wins everything at the end it’s really difficult to market it  – especially with me in it,” Pattinson tells TF exclusively.

“Everyone’s worried that everyone’s going to be thinking, ‘Oh I want him to be nice, he’s got to be nice to all the ladies’.”

Bel Ami, though, is an unrepentant cad.  “I know,” laughs the Water For Elephants star, “But that was fun!”

For more on Robert Pattinson and Water For Elephants check out the latest issue of Total Film, out 14 April.

Impressed R-Patz is branching out, or should he stick to Twilight? Tell us below!

‘Let Me Sign’ brought you to a lot of people’s attention through the Twilight soundtrack. Were you happy with how Robert Pattinson performed it?

It’s really great. Originally that song was a bit of a joke, it was a clapping song that me and my friend wrote together and he turned it into this really serious, moody song. So it was quite funny. But it was great, we worked it out together and I really like it.

Dear Ted:
I’m not a Krisbian, I’m “unconditionally and irrevocably” Robsessed, but I have to ask. “If any half of the Robsten duo is humble, pleasant and outright super sweet it’s definitely Rob.” Are you saying that Kristen is not? And what is this “Rob just seems more genuine” supposed to mean? I just want your sincere thoughts on Kristen, qualities and flaws.
Nikki

Dear Kris-Defensive:
Don’t get way offended. All we are saying is that with Rob’s latest movie coming out, he as been more open to answering some of the trickier questions, questions both he and Kristen have always avoided. Kristen has less patience with all this PR stuff. Good for her!
