“Remember Me” (2010)— When I heard that Robert Pattinson of “Twilight” fame had been cast to star in “Water for Elephants,” an adaptation of one of my favorite novels, I fretted. Then I saw him in this intense, often emotionally raw love story about a young man trying to find himself after a series of family tragedies, and I have hope.
In some ways, the set-up for the film sounds like a romantic comedy: On a dare, a guy tries to woo the daughter (Emilie de Ravin) of the cop who arrested him.
Naturally, he falls in love with her and her with him, but it all gets complicated when she finds out about his manipulations.
The ending is a polarizer. You’ll love it or hate it. It bothered me at first, then it seemed to make sense.

And they have the pictures to prove it! Way to go!

Robert Pattinson is everywhere! The handsome actor is currently in Europe, where he’s been snapping photos with fans for both the Berlin and Paris premieres of Water For Elephants. But he’s also getting cozy with Kristen Stewart on the special Breaking Dawn: Part I cover of Entertainment Weekly. Watch as he works the red carpet and the magazine’s hot cover!
What with all of the new The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 stills which were unveiled over the past couple of days, Twilight cast news has built up, so here’s a run-down of the latest.
For starters, Robert Pattinson (“Edward Cullen” in the Twilight Saga) appeared in Paris yesterday after being in Berlin the day before, both appearances for premieres of Water For Elephants. For the Berlin premiere (which followed the photocall seen before), he was joined by co-star Christoph Waltz and director Francis Lawrence, and for the Paris premiere, Reese Witherspoon joined up with the gang. Photos from both premieres are attached in the slideshow.
Also spotted around was Anna Kendrick (“Jessica Stanley”), who attended a Tribeca Film Festival luncheon, the Time 100 gala, a Vanity Fair party for Tribeca, and then more with Tribeca. Photos of her at these various events are also attached.
Moving on, this weekend Peter Facinelli (“Carlisle Cullen”) will be making two mall appearances this weekend in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. The first will take place in Sheboygan on Saturday, April 30th, and you can find out more details about that here. The next day, on Sunday, April 1st, he’ll be in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Details on the event are available here, and an opportunity to win a VIP spot for that event is available here.
Facinelli isn’t the only Twilight star making the rounds for good deeds. According to Metro Canada, Charlie Bewley (“Demetri” – Volturi Coven)’s “Run for Your Life” campaign has raised $10,000 for Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. The BMO marathon he’s running to support this cause is scheduled for this Sunday. Well done!
