Last night, the last few shots to be done on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 were completed, according to Jackson Rathbone (“Jasper Hale” in the Twilight Saga).

He, Peter Facinelli (“Carlisle Cullen”), Ashley Greene (“Alice Cullen”), and Kellan Lutz (“Emmett Cullen”) all returned to Canada a few days ago to finish up their work with second unit production for the film(s), while Kristen Stewart (“Bella”) and Robert Pattinson (“Edward Cullen”) ventured to the Virgin Islands to finish their last portion of filming for Breaking Dawn.

Now, they’re all done (except, of course, for director Bill Condon, editor Virginia Katz, score composer Carter Burwell, the CGI team, and the rest of the post-production crew; they’ve no doubt got a long road ahead).

Production on Breaking Dawn began as early as November for some of the cast and crew (starting with Brazil shoots) and has waged on through until last night. Both films were made at the same time, and production locations used throughout the process included Brazil, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Vancouver and Squamish, British Columbia, and St. Thomas of the Virgin Islands.

See more details on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in this run-down of need-to-knows.

So, that’s a wrap! Those new Breaking Dawn stills which were revealed today couldn’t come fast enough.

Even though Breaking Dawn just wrapped shooting, the madness surrounding the film has barely begun. We won’t be seeing the movie until November, but Entertainment Weekly has already revealed their latest Twilight covers. The photos are pretty straight forward, one features Edward and Bella (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) kissing foreheads, the other shows Jacob (Taylor Lautner) giving the camera his wolfiest Blue Steel. What’s most interesting, surely, is the story inside, in which we learn a bit more about some of the major moments in the film. You know: wedding, Brazil bone sesh, crazy clawing baby blood-fest, in that order.

First up, Kristen talks about her fake big day: “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done. There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.” Yeah, we know it’s adorable because she and Rob are doing kissy things in public, but it’s even sweeter thinking of the entire cast coming together like that at the end of three years of making movies together. Tears, shed.

As for the honeymoon cherry-popping and the vampire birth, director Bill Condon says, “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be.” HELLS TO THE YES.

To say we’re excited for Breaking Dawn would be the greatest understatement known to mankind. And the best part? All the good stuff happens in the first movie! Which means the second half of Breaking Dawn is just gonna be Stephenie Meyer sitting in a chair explaining for 2 hours how she came up with the concept of “imprinting,” right?

The Twilight teens are finally growing up.

In the next installment of the saga, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Edward and Bella (played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) take their relationship to the next level.

“They make love for the first time, they get married and pregnant,” says director Bill Condon.

Much of the vampire honeymoon was shot just outside of the Brazilian town of Paraty. “There’s this incredibly sensual vibe down there,” says Condon

Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”

But filming wasn’t always quite so idyllic. As the stars and director tell EW, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 (in theaters November 18 and November 2012) involved a grueling, globe-trotting shoot, and scenes far darker, bloodier, and more polarizing than any in the franchise so far. If audiences haven’t matured with the Twilight books, they’re about to grow up fast. “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be,” says director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of a PG-13 rating. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book — not so much the honeymoon sequence (“It feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good”), but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”

Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, says that even being a member of the wolf pack didn’t have its privileges. “Everybody is always complaining to me that I don’t have to wear the contacts, I don’t have to wear the white makeup or wear wigs and all that stuff. And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’” And as for his plot arc in Part 2, which will involve falling for — or imprinting on — Renesmee? “There were many times I walked up to Stephenie [Meyer] and asked her, ‘What exactly is imprinting?’” says Lautner. “It’s still a very confusing thing for me, so don’t ask.”

What he wore: Pattinson wore a pre-fall 2011-12 wool fine check suit with white dress shirt, burgundy silk tie and black lace-ups, all from Gucci.

Where: At the world premiere of Water for Elephants in New York.

GQ evaluation: Although Pattinson has chosen well with this subdued ensemble from Gucci’s pre-fall collection, the overall look is somewhat spoiled by his unkempt and slightly oily haircut. Great winter textures though, and let’s face it, when you look like Robert Pattinson, you can get away with a messy fro every once in a while.

GQ grade: B (A for the outfit, minus a C for the haircut = B)

Dear Ted:
I am so irritated at all the flack my boyfriend Robert Pattinson always gets. He’s mocked for being in a franchise about vampires, but his movies outside of Twilight don’t make enough money for the critics, and then his skills as an actor are questioned. I’d like to see some equality in criticism. What’s the difference between Rob and, say, Daniel Radcliffe? Riddle me that!

Dear Secret GF:
Does Kristen Stewart know about you?
