Mane Man: Look at Robert Pattinson’s On-Screen Hairstyles!
The first still of Robert Pattinson’s new movie, Cosmopolis, is out and gone are the reddish-blonde spiky strands of the Edward Cullen days. In their place: a slicked-back style more in line with the rich twentysomething City slicker that Rob plays. The film sees Rob’s character, Eric, spend an entire day in the back of a limo on a quest across Manhattan to get a haircut. So in honour of the film’s mane man (sorry, couldn’t resist!), we thought we’re taking a look back through Rob’s career to chart the many pompadours of Mr. Pattinson! Are you surprised by his array of styles? Got a fave look?
Check out the various hairstyles!
Dear Rob,
We are overwhelmed with all of your interviews for WFE. It sounds like you had a wonderful experience filming Water for Elephants. As we listened, watched and read your interviews, we noticed that you gave us tons of information.
Using things that you spoke about in these sets of interviews, we’ve reconstructed what a typical day would have been like for you while you were filming WFE. We of course have some questions for you as well!
(Disclaimers- we realize that the timeline is totally off and a day on the movie set begins much earlier usually. And we’ve included not much actual filming- we know that you work much harder than this! Truth- we’ve included some of the other more outrageous/fascinating things that you said in this general time period, just for fun and because we can. Or things that happened in the movie. This is fiction, people!!!!)
Here is our imaginary timeline for a day in your life filming WFE:
6:00 am: You wake up. (Rob, are you happy, grumpy, or befuddled in the morning? Adorably rumpled?) Have coffee and early morning cigarette. Pick up clothes off the floor and put them on. This includes 1930’s undahpahnts to help you get into character. Of course, now we want to see the undahpahnts.
7:00 am: You are now late because you’ve ‘messed about’ for 25 minutes. Can you please say ‘propensity and organize’ again? Did you realize that this made it to CNN? (at 0.52).
(Note: see the lyrics to The Beatles’ A Day in the Life, ‘Woke up….’- sounds familiar???)
7:30 am: You realize that your car’s dashboard is on fire, but you keep driving anyway.
Normal, right?
Go to our Sister Site Letters to Rob to read the whole Day in the Life letter!
While we haven’t seen anything more than a few stills from David Cronenberg‘s next film A Dangerous Method, he is already on production in Toronto on his next, Cosmopolis. While the former film starring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, and Keira Knightley has a rumored Venice Film Festival premiere in the works, we won’t be seeing the latter until 2012. Now, thanks to Bleeding Cool, we have the first image from the film. Taken by Cronenberg’s professional photographer daughter Caitlin via Twitter, it features Robert Pattinson and Sarah Gadon in a taxi and can be seen below.
Based on the 2003 novel by Don DeLillo, Cosmopolis is the story of a young multi-billionaire named Eric Parker (Robert Pattinson) who journeys across Manhattan in his luxurious, hi-tech stretch limo to get a haircut. The story covers roughly one day in Parker’s life, during which time he meets a motley cast of characters (played by Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Kevin Durand and Sarah Gadon, among others), losing his fortune along the way. While I wasn’t a fan of Water for Elephants, it is nice to see Pattinson extend his bound beyond the Twilight franchise, especially for a Cronenberg film.

If you’re a fan of Twilight or Edward and Bella or Tony Blair or Frost and/or Nixon, then you’re most familiar with actor Michael Sheen, who stopped by VH1s Big Morning Buzz Live to discuss, among other things, his role in the Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris and his turn as King Aro in the upcoming Breaking Dawn.
When we heard that Michael Sheen was coming in to our studio, we knew there was only one thing we wanted, no, needed him to do while here: Read aloud some devastatingly romantic RPattz and KStew fan fic found on, where else, the internet. Sheen obliged without any hesitation, and what we were given…. was magic.
And here it is, now, for the world to watch again and again and again. It’s Michael Sheen, reading a sexual fantasy essay called “Unexpected Circumstances.” The author of this piece is a regular Shakespeare of our time Twilight fan fic, a mysterious lady who goes by Savage7289. We thank her and Michael for giving us this gift.

Robert Pattinson is back on the big screen, ladies and gentleman! (Cue the delirious cheering.)
This time, R.Pattz is trading in his Twilight contacts and Water for Elephants suspenders for a dark suit, a clean shave and some hair gel.
The new images from Cosmopolis show our main man sharing the backseat of a car with one lucky lady…and we can feel the heat from here!
And although we are well aware of Robsten’s affinity for backseat smooches, it ain’t Kristen Stewart!
It’s Rob’s Canadian costar, Sarah Gadon.
Down, Twi-hards, down!
While K.Stew was recently in Toronto visiting Rob, the actress jetted to London this week, leaving Rob in the northern lands to begin filming on Wednesday.
In this still from the flick, in which R.Pattz plays a 28-year-old millionaire Manhattanite, the costars lock gazes and look as if they are about to pounce on one another.
The pic was taken by photog Caitlin Cronenberg, whose father, David Cronenberg, just so happens to be directing the film.
We can’t wait for more steamy on-set shots from the thriller! Keep ‘em coming, Cait!
Sarah Gadon’s introduction to the protective Twi-hards begins in 3, 2, 1…now.

Each year, we jam 12 months’ worth of movie magic into just one day for the MTV Movie Awards. This time around, there’s simply too much Golden Popcorn goodness to contain, so we’re opening up things with a full five days of cinematic treats that we call MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week.
Starting on Monday, May 30, and running through Friday, June 3, we’ll be bringing you exclusive looks at some of this summer’s hottest films, including “Fright Night,” “Horrible Bosses” and more. Each night at 11 p.m. ET, we’ll welcome a film’s cast onto MTV to present an exclusive clip. Then you can continue the live conversation with the stars online, as our own Josh Horowitz hosts an extended chat with the talent. As always, you’ll have the chance to ask the stars your own questions; just tweet at @MTVNews using the hashtag #SPW.
It’s all building up to the Movie Awards themselves, which will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis and air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Dear Ted:
Now that Twilight is over, no one really cares about what Nikki, Ashley, Kellen, Taylor and the others are doing. I mean none of them seem to be doing any projects that are exciting. And now that Robert Pattinson has pretty much shown and told the world that he and Kristen Stewart are a couple, they also have become pretty boring too. I mean Kristen was up in Toronto for at least two weeks and no pics, only tweets, which is cool but come on nothing exciting. There have not even been any pics of Rob. So my question is now that Twilight is done do you think The Hunger Games cast will have some juicy story for us to start talking about? I mean they will be working long hours together and will probably make two or three movies together (it will be like Twilight all over) can we expect any good juicy stories from this cast to keep us talking about them for a few years? Or are the boards going to go back to being boring?
—Sue
Dear Premature Fangulation:
What do you mean Twilight is over, Sue? There are still two more flicks left, and they’re the ones the fans are most looking forward to. Trust, you haven’t seen the last of any of the Twi kids (who, by the way, have plenty of projects in the works, get your IMDb facts checked)—they just have a little break before the Breaking Dawn craziness begins. As for those H.G. hotties, while things may be all cool now, I promise you they will be delivering the drama on and offscreen.
