Robert Pattinson “snapped” and “nearly” attacked a paparazzo, according to X17 Online, which supports its shaky allegations with no evidence whatsoever.
The site, which has tried this game before, writes that Pattinson left an agency meeting in Los Angeles on Monday “in a very bad mood – and he wasn’t afraid to show it!”
“Our photographer kept a respectful distance as he snapped, but all of a sudden Pattinson snapped, clenching his fists and nearly throwing a punch at the camera,” claims X17.
The supposedly heated confrontation only cooled off after Pattinson’s “friend calmed him down and talked some sense into him,” continues the outlet.
X17 protests, “Hey, Rob… no need to go ballistic on us just for being fans!”
Um, a couple of things.
First, “fans” do not stalk Pattinson on the streets with cameras.
Second, if there were any truth to this version of events, why didn’t X17 bother to post video?
Or, for that matter, any pictures of the actor looking the least bit combative?
All the site has are a few shots of Pattinson walking – and his eyes aren’t even on the photographer he’s allegedly about to “attack.”
It looks to Gossip Cop like Pattinson doesn’t pay much attention to X17 – and neither should people looking for any actual reporting

@MsShaunRobinson:
Gracious, my producer is freaking out because Robert Pattinson just jay-walked in front of her in Beverly Hills!
how does he look?!
@kmitch1217:
I don’t know. She’s in state of shock. She’s the biggest twilight fan!
@MsShaunRobinson:
I’ve seen him twice in person and it is quite breathtaking!! LOL
Updated: In case you didn’t see them last night, there were paparazzi pictures floating around confirming he was indeed in Beverly Hills. The following details are from the paparazzi group x17online (warning – the source link DOES contain paparazzi pictures). We do not post non-work related paparazzi pictures.
After taking a meeting at ICM Agency in LA on Monday, a scruffy Robert Pattinson left the building in a very bad mood — and he wasn’t afraid to show it!
Our photographer kept a respectful distance as he snapped, but all of a sudden Pattinson snapped, clenching his fists and nearly throwing a punch at the camera.
An X17 photographer tells us:
“Rob already seemed to be in a bad mood as he was leaving ICM and when he saw me, he just snapped. I was just standing there, taking his picture, not saying anything, not getting too close and he just went off. He clenched his fist and got ready to hit me, but his friend told him to stop and calmed him down.”
Fortunately the Twilight star backed off when his friend calmed him down and talked some sense into him.
Hey, Rob … no need to go ballistic on us just for being fans!

As they are paparazzi, take their version of the encounter with a grain of salt.
Excerpt:
There are reasonable excuses why Stewart, Pattinson, and Lautner haven’t had success outside “Twilight.” But there are also arguments to be made that say those excuses shouldn’t matter. The whole point of casting a movie star is to help bring people to the theater without spending money on marketing. Brad Pitt is his own marketing as the star of “Moneyball” — no coincidence then that the film’s poster just a simple, beautiful close-up of Pitt flashing that million dollar smile. The poster for “Abduction” was a picture of Lautner surfing down the side of a skyscraper (or something). That was all his die-hard female fans needed to know, but it was also all other folks needed to know to convince them to stay away.
That’s one of the curious aspects of the “Twilight” phenomenon: it’s one of the most widely disliked massively successful movie franchises in history. Each movie’s made more than the one before it, and each has drawn more derision from film writers than the one before it. The series is popular but divisive, and that could be a major problem for its stars as they move forward with their careers.
They could have larger problems that have nothing to do with “Twilight” too; this could be the twilight of movie stardom in general. We live in an age in which the films that get produced are dictated more by properties than movie stars. It’s a phenomenon we first identified and discussed on the old IFC News podcast about two years ago. Audiences are drawn to material and not necessarily to the actors appearing in that material. When the actors get too expensive, they’re just replaced; see Andrew Garfield subbing for Tobey Maguire in the upcoming “The Amazing Spider-Man.” There are still a few franchises rooted in star power — it’s impossible to imagine a “Pirates of the Caribbean” without Johnny Depp — but not many. Would “Transformers” crater without Shia LaBeouf? It certainly didn’t crater without Megan Fox; she was replaced for this summer’s “Dark of the Moon,” which went on to gross $351.9 domestically without her. That’s the second best total of 2011 behind only “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.”
Speaking of “Harry Potter,” we could be having this same conversation about that cast really soon.
Does a “Twilight” cast member’s name on a poster make you more or less likely to see the film? Tell us in the comments below or on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you @vonch and @lasagarobsten for the scoop!
Meet Pigpen!

So, why is he sad?
@TwilightLexicon He was really mad that Muse and RPatz weren’t on there, but then I explained it to him and he was cool with it.
We are right there with you Pigpen. Another lost Rob musical opportunity BUT like Pigpen, we are cool with it too. We have to be. lol
We have complied the questions and answers for you below! Remember, Jack’s replies are in the block quotes!
@Jack_Morrissey Any chance you can get Mr. Bill Condon himself to tweet?
@myonlysaga No chance at all. You’ll have to make do with me.
@Jack_Morrissey I have a question. Why did Bill suggest to put Breaking Dawn in 2 parts? Doesn’t he know how crazy we twihearts r?
@TwiMum81@MyaFFD12 I hear you, but the next movie won’t even be done until next spring. Pretty tight for a summer release.
@Jack_Morrissey Jack, you’re going to put some of the jokes between Rosalie and Jacob in BD? Or the time he throws food in her hair?
@Amanda5652 I myself don’t include or delete anything, but there are a few jokes in there. The food throwing scene will be on the DVD.
@Jack_Morrissey I heard that it was Muse who wanted to stop the soundtracks of the saga ? Is it real?
@twilight_vef I can’t really answer that, but it’s not Bill’s fault.
Now that the list is out @Jack_Morrissey – can you give us any hints as to what songs will play during which scenes? #BD1Stk
@PattinsonPost I can’t, actually. Bill would rather you all try to figure it out for yourselves. I’ll give you hints from time to time.
@Jack_Morrissey were you there when they filmed this scene? Is it as cute as in the book?
@Crissrr119 I wasn’t there, but people cry watching it.
@ingrydpattinson Yes, Kristen, Rob, and Taylor have all seen many cuts of it, from the first rough assemblage.
@ingrydpattinson Bill has kept them all extremely involved from the very first script draft all the way through the final cut, as he does
@TwiMum81 I’m a bit unclear, but either Rob isn’t doing anything much at the moment with his music, or he wants to keep it separate.
@Jack_Morrissey Can you tell me if is there any song in Breaking Dawn Part 1 in Portuguese? While they’re on Lapa, maybe…
@Jack_Morrissey The Cullens hunt animals right? In BD2, Bella hunts for the first time, we’ll see it?And in BD1?We’ll have some “hunt scene”?
@Alexkcezar Yes of course you’ll get to see Bella learn to hunt once she turns. And there’s another prelude to a hunt, as well. So yes.
@Jack_Morrissey can’t wait to hear the complete soundtrack! What ur favorite song so far? Iron&wine wedding version !!!
@y_rollam My favorite songs are, in order, “Northern Lights”, “Turning Page,” “Requiem on Water”, and “Endtapes”. You will LOVE “Cold”. FAQ
@y_rollam I don’t consider Carter’s piece a “song” and yeah, “Flightless Bird” is “Flightless Bird” – iconic.
@lopes_karool It’s only PART I, and Bill doesn’t want it to be one minute longer than it should be for the best storytelling. Pace and flow!
@Jack_Morrissey Do I remember correctly that Twilight is Bill’s favorite movie out of the three? Has he ever explained why?
@effie10 I don’t know that he’s explained it but yes that’s true and there are many connections between that movie and BD PART I.
@Jack_Morrissey Can you verify if this line from the book or a close verision made it in BD “So you seduced your all-to-willing husband? Thx
@tinkrbe1l3 I don’t think it’s a good thing to focus on what’s not there before you’ve seen what is there. Everyone has favorite stuff that
@tinkrbe1l3 didn’t make it in from the 800-page novel. I’m thinking about not answering many more of these “Is this in?” questions.
@tinkrbe1l3 You’re going to get something you’re going to be really happy with, trust me.
@tinkrbe1l3 @cocoapup BC worked intensely with her on both of these scripts, so he’ll take responsibility as well.
@Jack_Morrissey Rob can sing, Jackson has a band, K sings too, Mia M……why isnt BD a musical?
@stefy_s Hmmmm, good question!!! It’s certainly more musical than the three you’ve already seen.
@Jack_Morrissey Since SO many e/b scenes have been cut out of BD, has Bill added other cute E/B scenes not in the book?!
@Jack_Morrissey I couldn’t have chosen a better song for the wedding. Flightless Bird brings on so many memories. Thanks for the tears!
@__Twilovers Yes, and you’ll want to own THAT one, trust me.
@Jack_Morrissey does that mean possiably seein MUSE and RPatz or even Jackson on pt2s strk?
@nnuge Who knows – way too soon to tell.
@Jack_Morrissey Is there any chance to listen Muse or Paramore in BD Part 2 Soundtrack ?
@Jack_Morrissey whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? garter scene is not in the movie? please tell me it’s going to be on the dvd atleast??
@Jack_Morrissey So sad that this line didnt make it ‘So you seduced your all-to-willing husband’. How bout ADR magic to correct MR
@RobStenation Don’t go blamin’ MR for everything you don’t like – you can blame BC, as well!
@Jack_Morrissey Rob always says he’s a bad dancer. How was Rob for first dance at wedding , how many takes ?
@Jack_Morrissey do you know if rob and kristen took dancing lessons for the weeding dance scene, since rob has said he isnt a good dancer?
@Jack_Morrissey Hi Jack, I heard a rumour that some of the much loved cast will die in this movie, any truth in that? xxx
@Jack_Morrissey r u being cryptic? Bella dies yes, what about the Cullen clan, do they all survive parts 1 and 2? xxx
@Jack_Morrissey Was wonering, how long is are honeymoon scenes? So many good scenens in the past movies have been so short and 2 fast moving
@Awish921 Don’t worry, you’ll be very happy with the length and pace of these scenes.
@jack_morrissey pls tell me there’s more Charlie in his one! He’s my favorite
my dream came true!!!! “@Twilight: The #BreakingDawn – Part 1 Soundtrack track list is here! #BD1Stk@BreakingDawnStkhttp://pic.twitter.com/k0b0NqqJ”
