He’s not the lead role in the Twilight Saga but if his ‘people’ had it their way, Kellen Lutz was auditioning for Edward.

After reading the script for Twilight for the first time Lutz actually rejected pressure from his team to play Edward. According to the Calvin Klein model it was the smaller roll he wanted with the main character Edward “too depressing”.

“They wanted me to audition for it and I kept saying no, no ,no,no” he told Nova Fm’s Christo & Katie.  ”After the seventh time they were like what about his brother Emmet? So I re-read the script and loves his small part. He barely has any lines but he’s the comic relief.” he said.

Oh, John Pike.

When UC Davis Police Lt. John Pike casually and ruthlessly sprayed an entire can of pepper spray onto a line of peaceful Occupy protesters, a firestorm of retribution began. He was quickly suspended, UC President Mark Yudof claimed he was “appalled” by the incident and an investigation was launched immediately. But the worst has only just begun.

Lieutenant Pike, welcome to your total destruction on the Internet. Bring on the memes.

Thanks to tech-savvy satirists, Pike-pepperd gifs are already sprayed across the Internet. Googlers can find his phone number with one search. And like BP and Nick Nolte before him, Lt. Pike has now inspired a fake Twitter account titled the Pepper Spraying Cop. (“I thought it was Silly String. Swear to God.”)

But our favorite homage is the rapidly increasing collection of Pike-themed memes. Guernica Pike? Check. Baby seal pup-spraying Pike? Got it. Team Jacob Pike? Immortality is thine.

Prepare yourself, Lt. Pike. Though protesters sometimes grow weary, the Internet really never does forget.

Breaking Dawn Production Designer talks to Architectural Digest.

AD: What was it like on the set?

RS: Everyone had a good time. The three main actors are all very fun to work with. Kristen is quite serious. Rob and Taylor are a little bit wild. Rob and Kristen are actually a couple in real life. When he’s with her, he’s a little more restrained. When she’s not around, like most guys when their wives or girlfriends aren’t around, he’s a little looser. Taylor’s a kid—he’s 19—so he was bouncing all over the place.

Some love for Mr. and Mrs. Pattinson! Never a bad thing!

‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson grew up in a small house in the leafy London suburb of Barnes. His father Richard is a second-hand car dealer, while his mother Clare works in a model agency. The Pattinsons accompanied their 25-year-old son while he appeared on the ‘Tonight show with Jay Leno’ in June 2010. The heartthrob, who is dating co-star Kristen Stewart, told the chat show host that his father gives him tips on romancing women.

Edward looked phenomenal in his tuxedo. Details on the boys please!
We put a lot of work into that too because we wanted to have them display a special, made-to-order feel. We didn’t want people to feel like you could just go out and buy them.

Well, there’s nothing off-the-rack about any of this.
[Laughs] No off-the-rack! Never. I drew up my ideal ideas for all the tuxedos. We wanted them to have a vintage feel, that sort of Edwardian turn-of-the-century vibe. Edward says, “I’ve been waiting a hundred years to marry you,” so we thought Alice would have fun riffing off of that.

But at the same time we didn’t want it to look theatrical, we wanted contemporary, young, and fresh. I drew up something that combined the lines of Edwardian formalwear and we made it up in beautiful contemporary Italian wools and gorgeous shirting materials. We had a fantastic collaboration with Brioni. Do you know Brioni, the wonderful Italian tailors.

Can we get onto a really important topic now? Um. Edward. IN SHORTS. Discuss.
How crazy is that?

Insane! I’d never dreamt that I’d see the back of that man’s knee.
There’s going to be so many inches of journalism written about this.

It’s breaking news. It’s MAJOR.
It’s a challenge to put an Englishman in shorts.

And Robert Pattinson is an Englishmen.
They have an instant freakout! I think it has to do with their public school uniforms that they wear as kids.

It’s all charcoal boiled wool.
Completely. Itchy, scratchy… they go, NOOOOOO long pants! We tried all sorts of different lengths but we ended up with a really classic look. My references were the Kennedys on summer vacation. That classic American summer wear. We went crisp with cool natural fibers, nautical navies and whites, trying to capture that classic style. More often than not, we went with a rolled-up chino but we didn’t think we could get away with not doing a short for a Brazilian scorching honeymoon so there you go.
