Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief airs Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT and 7 p.m. CT on MTV and all MTV networks with no commercial interruptions. The event will also be streaming live on MTV.com. For those in Latin America, the telecast airs at 7:00 p.m. in Mexico, 8:00 p.m. in Colombia and 10:00 p.m. in Argentina.

We know many of you Internet Explorer users have had difficulties with viewing the site since our first re-design. Well, the time has come for a re-design because we can’t put this off any longer. We continue to struggle with keeping the code stable for all. Therefore, we’d like to start off 2010 in a good place for all of you so thank you for patience in this process! I will post updates in this post as we get moving!

UPDATE 12/20 1:23pm ET: We have one designer currently working on a theme for us.

UPDATE 12/22 6:35pm ET: The designer contacted me today and things are moving along! Yay! Also, please note that all of the recent affiliate applications we’ve received over the last few months have been put on hold due to the website issues but we will be processing them after the re-design. We apologize for the inconvenience!

UPDATE 12/23 12:07pm ET: I just saw the first stage of graphics before coding for the new site design! Yay!

UPDATE 1/1 6:29pm ET: I read an email from the designer that she is going to try to finish up the design today! Yay! I have to approve the live version before we make the change official. Exciting!

UPDATE 1/3 12:57pm ET: I just saw a live preview of our new layout. It is AMAZING! I think you will all be pleased with it! I also checked that it is IE and Firefox compatible! Yay! Just waiting for more details on how long it will take to go live!

Hello everyone,

November 22nd 2009 was our 1st year anniversary! Woo hoo! So much has happened to the site since it opened. As you may recall (or just learning if you are a new visitor), I purchased Spunk-Ransom.com in August of 2008 before we officially launched in November 2008. In June, we had our first fundraiser for our renewal. In the midst of June to now, we have upgraded to our own private server to better serve you. This, of course, means higher maintenance costs.  How much do you ask? $40-60 per month along with the yearly renewal fee of $120. Being a Rob Pattinson fan on a dedicated server is not cheap. lol He is worth the cash though.

My plan is to do two fundraisers a year to help offset the costs that I do not incur through ad revenue. For the next 7 days, I will be asking for your help to keep Spunk-Ransom.com open with your donations! Right now, I know many of you are focusing on the holidays so with that being said, my expectations are not unreasonable.

We contacted Rob’s management today to see if we could get a complete list of promotional stops and television appearances Rob has coming up for the “New Moon” promotional blitz. Nick Frenkel’s (Rob’s manager) assistant informed me that she is not able to share this information. We had to try, right? We always appreciate any information they do provide to Spunk-Ransom.com. I said I was to see what I could do but unfortunately, I got nothing! lol We still love Rob’s management.
